Who is responsible

Katherina Espinoza, trading as Xanthoria Scientific Marketing, Santiago, Chile.

This policy explains what personal data this website and my work with you involve, why I use it, and what you can ask me to do with it.

What is collected

  • Visits to this site. The site is hosted by WordPress.com, a service of Automattic Inc. When you visit, Automattic receives the technical data your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser, device and the page you came from. It uses this data, together with cookies and similar technologies, for site statistics, security and to run the service. I only see the statistics in aggregated form.
  • Fonts. The fonts on this site are loaded from jsDelivr, a public content delivery network. To send them, jsDelivr receives your IP address.
  • Email. If you write to me, I receive your name, email address and what you include in your message. My email runs on Google Workspace.
  • Booking a call. If you book a call, Google Calendar records your name, email address and the answers you give in the booking form, and creates a Google Meet video call.
  • LinkedIn. The site links to LinkedIn but does not embed LinkedIn content. If you follow a link, LinkedIn’s own privacy policy applies.

This site has no contact forms, newsletter, comments or advertising.

Why I use it

  • To answer your message and prepare the call you booked, as a step before a possible contract.
  • To run our work together if we agree on a project, including invoices and the records I must keep by law.
  • To keep the site secure and to understand, in aggregated form, how it is used. This is my legitimate interest in running a professional website.

I do not sell your data, and I do not use it for automated decisions or profiling.

Who else processes it

The providers named above process data on my behalf or as independent services, and may do so on servers outside your country, including in the United States: Automattic (privacy policy), Google (privacy policy) and jsDelivr (jsdelivr.com).

How long I keep it

Messages and booking details: as long as I need them to answer you or to manage our work together. After that, only what the law requires me to keep, such as tax records. Site statistics are kept according to Automattic’s own rules.

Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct or delete your personal data, to limit or object to how I use it, or to receive a copy of it. Write to the email above and I will answer within 30 days.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you are in Chile, Chilean data protection law applies.

Cookies

WordPress.com sets cookies on this site for statistics, security and to keep the service working. This site does not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. More information: Automattic cookie policy.
